| Space was very much at a premium when WS Atkins moved into the building on a business park on the outskirts of Leeds ? so the catering offer was designed to be simple but effective. But as the site population and their demands grew, OCS and WS Atkins sat down to see how the catering facilities could be developed. The result was a 16k investment in back of house equipment and front, counter display units. But like any investment decision ? the key was delivering a return. Prior to the changes takings averaged £160 per day ? 3 months later it?s up to a staggering £500 per day ? a 300% increase! The payback on investment was just six months.  |

Already though there is talk of moving to a bigger local site for Atkins. The building already houses their Architects, Faithful and Gould, as well as a Call Centre and account management functions. The current catering facility offers breakfast, snacks, fresh coffee, hot lunches, make- to-order Deli Barand a Grab and Go multi tier. There is also a suite of conference rooms constantly in use for working lunches, visitor catering, Executive Buffets, Training courses and ?. well whatever is needed. The catering operation is managed by Jason Brown, promoted from Head Chef at PWC in Leeds to Chef Manager at Atkins when it opened. OCS enjoy a strong relationship with Atkins aslo running their Head Office location at Epsom in Surrey. |
